Front Beach | Bermagui Fine Art Wall Hanging

There are moments along the Sapphire Coast when everything aligns the swell, the light and the landscape.

Captured at Horseshoe Bay in Bermagui, Front Beach freezes one of those fleeting moments as a perfectly formed wave rises from the ocean with Gulaga standing quietly on the horizon. The energy of the sea contrasts with the enduring presence of the mountain, creating a scene that feels both powerful and deeply peaceful.

For me, this photograph is about balance. The ever-changing movement of the ocean against the timeless silhouette of Gulaga is a reminder that while nature is constantly evolving, some places remain enduring symbols of connection and belonging.

As the light softened across the coastline, the wave revealed its shape for only a brief second before returning to the sea. It is these moments that continue to draw me back behind the camera moments that cannot be repeated, only witnessed.

Photographed on the beautiful Sapphire Coast of New South Wales, Front Beach celebrates the relationship between ocean, landscape and atmosphere. It invites the viewer to pause, to breathe and to experience the quiet beauty of one of Australia's most iconic coastal locations.

Produced as a museum-quality fine art print, this artwork brings the natural beauty of Bermagui and the South Coast into your home, offering a lasting connection to a place where light, water and landscape exist in perfect harmony.

Artist's Quiet Thoughts

I've stood on this beach countless times, yet it never offers the same moment twice.

The ocean is always changing. Waves arrive with their own rhythm, the light shifts from minute to minute, and Gulaga remains quietly watching over it all.

What drew me to this scene wasn't simply the wave. It was the relationship between movement and stillness. One constantly changing, the other seemingly timeless.

Those are the moments I find myself returning to when the landscape asks nothing of us except to stop for a while and simply observe.
