Larune was made at that narrow window when the light stops being light and starts being gold. The wave is unbroken — a clean, full face holding its shape for just a moment longer before it gives way. Behind it, the clouds have moved in, heavy and dark, the kind that make the golden water glow even brighter by contrast.

There is a tension in this image that is hard to name. The warmth of the hour against the weight of the sky. The stillness of an unbroken wave against the knowledge of what comes next. It is a photograph caught in the pause before everything changes.
