Emorith | Coastal Decor Wall Hanging | Greg Selby
Emorith was made at water level, looking up at a wave that had everything going for it. The face is a full, clean teal-green rich and deep where the water is thickest, lighter where it thins toward the lip. And at the top, just behind the crest, the sun has broken through.
The light creates a halo at the peak of the wave bright and diffuse, the kind of glow that makes the water around it appear to be lit from within. The sky is pale and hazy, which only makes the colour of the wave more saturated by contrast. The surface of the water in the foreground is textured and moving, full of the energy that built this wave over hundreds of kilometres of open ocean.
It is a photograph about light finding water at exactly the right moment. Luminous without being soft. Powerful without being violent.
For interiors that want the ocean at its most alive. A wave that carries warmth as well as weight.
Printed to museum-quality archival standards using premium pigment inks. Available on Satin Paper, Matte Paper, Framed Canvas, or Glass.
Artist's Quiet Thoughts
The sun came over the lip at exactly the right second. A fraction earlier or later and it’s just another wave. — Greg Selby
