Astrea |Coastal Decor Print | Wall Hanging | Greg Selby
Astrea was made from inside the wave the first frame in a sequence that begins here, at the moment of entry. The barrel is forming overhead, the water translucent green glass where the light passes through, the curl beginning to fold at the edges. Everything is still possible.
There is no horizon here. No sky, no beach, no reference point. Just the architecture of the wave itself the way the water thins at the lip, the texture of the surface, the geometry of something that exists for less than a second before it collapses into white water.
It is an abstract photograph in the truest sense. The subject is light through water. The result is something that reads differently depending on how far away you stand from it.
For walls that can hold something that rewards looking. The ocean reduced to its essential elements.
Printed to museum-quality archival standards using premium pigment inks. Available on Satin Paper, Matte Paper, Framed Canvas, or Glass.
